TOWN OF VIS

The Town of Vis is founded on the remains of ancient Issa and it was the biggest foremost Greek colony in the Adriatic sea. Today it’s the unmissable harbor for all sailors, vacation location for many adventurers, families with children, newlyweds… They return every year thanks to the untouched nature that it selfishly preserve and POMALO – the lifestyle that you quickly pick up from the islanders. Town Vis consists of two distinct sections: the harbor (called “Luka”) and the older section of “Kut” (meaning “corner”). The harbor greets the island ferry and the traffic it brings from the mainland, launching a bustle of daily life especially in the summertime. Kut is for leisurely afternoon walks, a cup of coffee by the seaside and its numerous quality restaurants.
