With wine you are never bored

Although Vis is a small island, its wine stands head and shoulders above many others.  Since days of antiquity, vineyards and wine growing has been the main economic force for the island’s development. Vugava and Mali Plavac are the island’s best known wines.  The wine fields are also rich with other acclaimed sorts like Kurteloška, Rukatac, Palaruša…

We made a tour where you can explore and compare the wines in two different wine cellars. Also this is opportunity to drive into the heart of the island and meet the local households and be introduce to the production of the wine you taste.

The price includes: local guide, transport, wine tasting

Departure from the Town of Vis

Our journey begins in the town of Vis, taking you through the heart of the island. Along the way, you'll pass charming traditional villages, centuries-old vineyards, and beautiful Mediterranean landscapes that have shaped the island's winemaking heritage for generations.
2

Hum – The Highest Peak on Vis Island

Our first stop is Hum (587 m), the highest point on the island. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over Komiža Bay, the surrounding islands, and the open Adriatic Sea. On exceptionally clear days, you may even see the Italian coastline on the horizon.
3

Roki's Winery

We continue to the family-owned Roki's Winery, where you'll tour their modern winery and learn about the complete winemaking process, from vineyard to bottle. You'll then enjoy a tasting of three excellent local wines: Mali Plavac, Rosé, and Vugava, showcasing the unique character of Vis Island.
4

Križ – Allied Airfield Viewpoint

Our next stop is Križ, overlooking the former Allied airfield from World War II. Here you'll hear the fascinating story of Vis Island's importance throughout history.
5

Viewpoint Above Kut

We then stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking Kut, the historic quarter of the town of Vis. This is the perfect place to capture stunning photographs of the town, harbour, and surrounding islands.
6

Lipanović Winery

Our final winery visit takes us to Lipanović Winery, uniquely located inside a former military tunnel. This extraordinary underground setting provides ideal conditions for wine production. This is a great example of how Vis can transform its Cold War tunnels into a unique tourist attraction by combining wine production with wine storage. During the visit you'll enjoy a tasting of a few of their exceptional wines. After the tasting, we return to the town of Vis.
